About the All-American Bowl

Player"The Offense-Defense All American Bowl is the culmination of years of hard work developing a winning curriculum and reputation for excellence, as well as experience in working with young players," said bowl director Matt Whittier. "Unlike other games that can be seen as marketing tools, we are working to make this game a pure, annual tradition that athletes from all across the country can strive to be a part of." Whittier said that “…the reputation of Offense-Defense Sports translated to immediate support of the game from throughout the sports and media fields, making it an easy choice for a global entity like Fox to sign on and participate in this fantastic event.”

Last year’s rain-drenched affair saw Team East eke out a hard-earned victory dominated by defense and establish a 2-0 series lead over Team West.  Not coincidentally, Team East players garnered All-American Bowl MVP honors each year the game has been in existence thus far.  In 2007, Cameron Newton walked away with the hardware and in 2008 that honor went to Mike Zordich.  Time will tell if the East and its stars will be able to maintain control of the series or if the West will finally be able to strike back in 2009!

2007 All-American Bowl Offense-Defense is a family owned and operated organization that has established a tradition of full-contact football instruction and life lessons that athletes can use on and off the field. Offense-Defense was the first football instructional organization in the world, and currently runs more than 60 football events nationwide each year. Offense-Defense has worked with more than 200,000 athletes, thousands of college stars and hundreds of NFL greats throughout the years. Twenty-eight of the 32 current NFL head coaches have worked with Offense-Defense Sports, which provides an unparalleled instructional experience for the athletes that attend its events.
