With only an exception here or there, all of the Bowl athletes arrived in town yesterday for this week's festivities.  After some ceremonial introductory sessions, night crept in, and as we all know New Year's Eve is a time of celebration.  The players were taken to Dave & Buster's in the city where food, fun, and a more casual atmosphere allowed the guys to really cut loose and bond with both teammates and opponents alike, forging ties that will last lifetimes.

It didn't take long for that competitive spirit to get boiling however and a great deal of time was spent shooting hoops and otherwise playing a good-natured one-ups-manship game.  Pictures will be up on the site later, so be sure to check back often for those!

All-in-all, it was a fun, constructive night.  If the athletes had any nerves or if they were tired from their journey, it was all worked out last night.  The bonding that took place will serve these young men well on the field both as competitors and allies.  First practice is today and I can't wait to see what happens when these guys put the pads on!
